Changed Hearts

Changed Hearts

Once upon a time,

not so long ago,

My heart was locked up in a tower- shriveled and stone cold.

In this tower, placed so high up...

protection of heart,

was how the cup was filled up.

Every day on guard,

squinting to see other's intentions.

My heart remained in the tower,

focused on protection of self and not others' dimensions.

Leaning on my own strength to guard precious cargo,

my nature is sensitive and down to the core,

all my efforts spent to protect myself from sorrow.

Then one day the watch was too burdensome.

Guarding my heart like a warden became too worrisome.

"How could I possibly open up?

To let others' see who really was in the tower,

Allowing my heart to begin to flower?"

To this day some do not see,

The soft, big heart that is sensitive and a big part of me.

The change that occurred,

to allow me to be,

was placing my heart in the hands

of the all knowing one, who can see.

Jesus saved me, from a life of being cold,

He holds my heart, so I can open up and share this hearts warmth.

Every day is an opportunity to allow the changing of your heart. Who you are today is not who you will be tomorrow.

The past month I inquired with the Holy Spirit and pondered on what I should write about. The entire month was a month of self discovery, reflection and intention. I realized that my walk with Christ, it is so beautiful and so impactful. Every day I am a new person. Sometimes this change is easily excepted, sometimes I am resistant.

The Lord is continually working on our hearts. Molding us, changing how we view things situations and people.

Believer whatever you are going through right now..

The Lord

Can

He Will

and He Did!

This month not only did the Lord change my heart in so many ways, but I was able to see him work.

Through Faith, he moved mountains.

Through Love, he changed hearts.

Through his word, he solidified foundations and expectations.

Through declarations and prayer, he made the impossible possible.

It is with our belief and faith that the Lord can do mighty things in our lives and the lives around us.

Have you allowed the Lord to change your heart or are you still approaching the situation with the same perspective that got you there?

Confirming your faith each and every day and sometimes moment by moment allows the Lord to change our hearts, "lean not on our own understanding". -Proverbs 3 5-6

“Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls.
For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30

When we allow Jesus into our lives and let him be the Warden of our hearts;

we are protected, shielded and able to navigate life's challenges easier.

When we know that Jesus cradles our hearts and protects us, we are able to move in this world with love and allow Jesus to do all the protecting.

With Warmth,

Crystal

Scriptures To Ponder On:

Philippians 4:6-7

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.
And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

Proverbs 4:23

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”

John 10: 27-28

“My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; no one will snatch them out of my hand.”
