Gratitude - The Confirmation House Perspective

Gratitude. 

We all know about this beautiful word.

We all know that it is important to take time to focus on the things that God has given us and not, what we don't have.

We all know how important it is to "focus on the good" and "see the glass half full."

Being grateful is so easy to do when everything is going great! When we are having a good day, the energy feels lighter and sun is grazing our skin in just the right way to make us feel cozy. Things just seem to fall in place effortlessly. God's plan and grace embraces us and we feel like we are gliding through life when everything is going great!

But what about when Circumstances change? 

What about when life is just "Lifeing" and something unexpected throws off the trajectory of your whole day, month, year, relationship or even career? 

How do we navigate being grateful when the vibes are a mess and the season feels like quick sand?

Gratitude is like a sail on your boat as you navigate the turbulent seas of life. 

When I Take a moment to dig deep to find what to be grateful for through the hard times...within the current circumstances and find what God wants me to focus on and be grateful for during the hard season... 

The hard season feels like it accelerates with Gratitude being the accelorator pedal. 

Now,

We must trust God's timing,

and his pace,

for all things–

that we embrace.

Gratitude within our vision,

As we continue our mission.

For the Holy One knows the bigger picture..

farther then we can see,

and what is the best outcome,

for us during this race

as well as what we need!

It is easy to be pessimistic in a world that is geared towards negativity and how things are not working out.....

Believer, Your strength is found in your ability to be grateful through the hard seasons! 

Being blindsided by a great change in our lives is the perfect opportunity to dig deep into your faith and find what God wants us to be grateful for! 

God loves us, is always helping us and he always has a plan! 

I pray that you are able to find what to be grateful for during this season!
