Deeper Faith
Do we?
Do we have enough faith?
Faith to move in the unseen?
Enough faith for you,
and enough faith for me?
Do our roots run deep?
Allowing us to be the light,
While He guides us
like sheep?
Or are we,
stuck in our ways,
not allowing ourselves to
bend and flex,
to the plan the Lord has for us,
that pulls us by our chests.
Dolly Parton said it best,
"Storms make trees, take deeper roots."
Our Lord sees the storm and
gives us the good book,
to guide us and ensure,
all outcomes have time to cook.
How do we,
deepen our faith?
Faith so deep,
We see trials and tribulations,
as opportunities to mold us like clay.
How do we,
become the "light of the world"? -Matthew 5:14
Unwavering in character,
even when faced with slander.
How do we,
Dig down deep,
Allowing our faith to,
become like the mustard seed? -Matthew 13:31
Through the continued renewing relationship,
with our savior Jesus,
We deepen our faith,
Because we know that we know,
He is always with us.
If two are in the dark,
who do we know has the light?
It's the one whos fear is yoked,
Making the burdens of both,
light and like light.

How do we continue to deepen our faith through trials and tribulations?
Hi everyone! How has the month been for y'all? I have been praying this month and asking the Holy Spirit what he would like for me to write about. Holy Spirit said "Faith."
To bring you into my writing process it is very simple for me. But a process that I continue to learn and grow with. I write once a month, this is on purpose. This allows me time with God to get downloads on what he would like for me to write on and how he would like for me to write. I really like to take my time with this process, hence the once a month postings. This allows me time to unpack, explore Gods word, his intentions, how the current month aligns with the assignment, and how God would like for me to articulate.
The Confirmation House Perspective Blog was born from a desire to write poetry, explore aspects of faith all the while doing so with God's purpose and his direction.
This month I had an opportunity to do something that would have enabled me to come out of my comfort zone. Absolutely not my favorite thing to do...Be outside of my warm, cozy, bubble of comfort.
During this opportunity, I could see how by not proceeding, I was being disobedient. Disobedient to what God has called me to do.
Feeling convicted, I prayed and inquired...
Me: "How am I supposed to proceed with being obedient AND following The Lord's call, while also doing something that I...let's be honest, would prefer not to do?"
Holy Spirit said: "Faith."
Me: "How in the world am I supposed to do something that pulls me out of my comfort zone and how does "Faith" allow me to do this?"
Holy Spirit: "Faith."
Me: Still Puzzled.."How does faith help with worry and the unknown?"
Holy Spirit: "Faith."
After much reflection and pondering and conversation with the Holy Spirit, he shared with me that Faith is all aspects of our lives.
Faith is knowing The Lord sees the trials.
Faith is knowing that The Lord knows what you need before you ask him. -Matthew 6:08
Faith is knowing that The Lord knows your strengths and your weaknesses.
Faith is knowing that The Lord sees that hard conversation before you do.
Faith is knowing that The Lord knows you do not like doing something, but he is going to gently, and Lovingly guide you out of your comfort zone.
Believer, what is the Lord tugging on your heart for you to do?
Deepening our faith begins with knowing the Word of God so closely, intricately and written on our hearts.
Deeper faith is believing the word of God over our own limitations.
Deeper faith is going through the storms of life and allowing our roots to go deeper, stronger, and closer to Jesus our foundation.
Life can be hard and sometimes just crazy with everything that is going on.
Leaning on the word of God gives us the tools;
to deepen our faith,
strengthen our walk with The Lord
and know that no matter what we are going through,
It is all an opportunity to deepen our faith not only for ourselves but for those around us!
With Warmth,
Crystal
